Techno Tuesday

I joke around with people all the time about how attached I am to my phone. In fact, just today at lunch one of my co-workers pulled out his old, antiquated flip phone and said some day he'll give in and upgrade to a smart phone and my response was, as I pulled out my iPhone (3GS, mind you, I'm certainly not floating in money), "I don't know how you manage without one of these. I could rule the world with my phone!" All joking aside, I love to find and try out new apps, and I thought it would be cool to share some of them. Hence, "Techno Tuesdays." First one on the list is called List Bliss. Like most of my apps, it was free. I have to give Josh credit for finding this one because he actually does about 95% of the grocery shopping. (And cooking. Yep, he's pretty awesome). Rather than writing up a list of stuff I need and hoping he a) sees it, and b) remembers to bring it with him to the store, I add items to our grocery list on List Bliss as I think of them and it automatically updates his phone (we share an account). I can categorize items by type, such as "dairy" and "beverages," specify quantities, and add other notes if needed, and he can cross items off when he buys them. He can also add items, either at home or as he's purchasing them, to the "pantry" so we have a pretty good idea of what we have at home, and he can enter prices for items when purchased so we can anticipate how much future trips to the grocery store will cost. Did I mention its free??
